Hi Guys,

I currently have TalkTalk Fibre and use there standard Huawei HG533.
This is quite pants, port forwarding locks up all the time and wireless signal is good for apple devices and my MacBook but sucks for ALL android devices.

I currently have the router supplying DHCP to my network via a Cisco 2950 (Used just as a switch).
All wired lan is 100Mbps so no need for Gig Eth.
I also use many WiFi devices.

What would people recommend? i have seen TP-Link are new to the market, has anyone tried these units?

Ok, what benefits does DD-WRT bring?

thanks

It just tends to work better than the manufacturers standard firmware and generally has better stability. There is a lot more control using DD-WRT as well as good QOS. However it is not the most user friendly and you will need to get your hands dirty with some scripting if you want to do anything slightly complicated with it.
