Recommend an easy, cheese sauce for chicken & potatos

Hi all,

I've got some New Jeresy potatoes and some chicken breast. It seems like the only thing I ever make it tomato sauce so I'm looking for a nice, easy to make cheese sauce to go with the chicken, potatoes and a bit of veg.

Any ideas? I have limited amounts in the cupboard so the more basic the better

p.s. yes, I know this is a very basic cooking question...

mmm, melt about 50g of butter, add flour and stir until it makes a paste, add milk, still stirring to make a white sauce. Add a handful of grated cheese to make a cheesy white sauce

Or stuff the cheese inside the chicken, and go with a garlic sauce.

i agree. only way to make a cheese sauce. just add a bit of salt a pepper and then your rockin
