I'm looking for something not long, not open world, not too old, something looks good , but something fun.

Currently have bf1, titanfall 2, on ps4, and already played recent doom.

Have played a few cod campaigns, and just installed ghosts (had for ages) but not sure what is like.

Just hoping for something that won't take frigging ages to play.

Alien Rage ticks all those boxes. Playing through it myself just now and it's great. It's reduced to £4.99 jus now on gamers247.

Or there is Hard Rest which is similar in style - also going for £4.99 in the gamers247 sale...

Played through it a few months back - great fun.

Singularity and Spec Ops: The Line are also worth a shout. These two have a decent story to go along with it - both last around 10 hours.

Enjoyed singularity.

I do have spec ops.

Does alien rage have some kind of story?

I remember trying hard reset but it just felt like shooting for the sake of shooting - odd, I know...

This might be worth going for:

Seven quid on Steam.

Looks way too arcadey for me :)

Think it's going to be COD:ghosts, Spec ops, or Wolfenstein:New order.

I was sure I had bought Wolfenstein previously, but it's not on my steam list... maybe have it on console...

i 2nd wolfenstein. i have old blood on pc and brilliant game, took me like 8hrs or so to complete, but was spread over a few days, i have new order on xbox and out of 16 chapters i got to 8 within 3-4hrs if that spreading out the time.

warframe is good, least on xbox one anyways as i own it on that.

I hated the New Order, completely over hyped in my opinion. For an FPS campaign fix. I would say go through the Call Of Duties in order of release, brain dead run and gun fun

I'd say Star Wars Battlefront it's easy to play and generally good fun. Graphically it's amazing with superb sound effects, the only gripe is it's more an arcade pick up and play.

It can be had for less than £8 @ cdkeys for example.

Yeah Alien Rage does have story - set in the future - mankind and another Alien race were both looking for a type of crystal with immense energy as a power source. Both found it at the same time - at first mankind worked together with the Aliens then something went wrong - you then pick up the bits of the story as to what happened as you play through the game.

I'll also second the new Wolfenstien games and F.E.A.R.
