Im after a small MP3 player for my sister, it has to be solid state.

I like the Nano 4gb range, and wanted to keep to the same price range of around £120 give or take a little. The Nano has a nice battery life and its a decent size.

Thanks for any suggestions.

the iaudio d2 4gb is £150. its just better. better sound quality, better screen (same size as the ipod vidio/vision:m) , better codec support, better battery life (50 hours). expandable memory. better everything.

  • video (gimmick realy)
  • smaller hight wise but fatter, feels chunkier, more solid.
  • better battery life than the ipod

I have been using an iPod Video with iTunes and think its a great and easy way to manage my music collection. Was hoping others had a similar method.

The thing that would stop me getting the iaudio is the size of it. I dont need a large screen, i just wanted a simple mp3 player for listening to music as they are intended.

I think ill stick to the nano seen as im happy with itunes.
Thanks anyway, i did take a look into the ones mentiones, but they just seemed bulky, albeit better.

Dont suppose you have any more photos then do ya ? :p :D

I'd like to buy a non-apple product, just for the change really. But the nano is calling me. Im also after an mp3 player to but i thought i had made my mind up.

I like the Cowen D2 very much but touch screen is a no no for me because I like to opperate my mp3 players from my pocket and really need tactile buttons for that.

I like the New Sony NW-808... smaller than nano... biger screen than nano (320x240) Much better sound than nano... comes with Sony EX85 (similar to the Superb EX90) so no need to buy high quality headphones.

What ever you do DONT Buy a nano - Terrible sound quality!

Thats easily done:) when the key lock is enabled you can set the hard keys to either change the volume or change the track so you dont have to look at the screen at all. people do assume it's hard to change tracks with the unit in your pocket, but it really isnt:)

Vegetarian, are you refering to this exact model: Sony NWA808 B.CE7 8GB Video Walkman ?

I am very interested, everyone seems to say its brilliant. :)

Theres one thing that is a no no for me and thats Sonicstage, can i do without it ? I mean i used it before and its so bad it would stop me buying this mp3 player if i HAD to use it.

I think there may be SS alternitives around... but the truth is SS is not as bad as people make it out to be... Its much improved in recent times.

James.miller - How many hard keys can u map on the D2? Also can the line in take a microphone?
