Hi All
Just moved to Windows 8 RT and find that Windows Player does not work with the new config I am running, can anybody recommend a software package to simply play Blu Ray and normal DVD's.
I dont need any editing or mixing capabilities, just plain and simple.

Regards GoA

Any of you guys have a direct link for it because I tried downloading it for my old man earlier as it's what I used to use but every link I could find wanted to install loads of other ****e with it :/

@ smogsy / Nevakonaza, you seem to have missed the fact the OP is running windows RT. a quick google suggests there is a version of VLC in development for it but it's not out yet. i guess the only place you might find something is in the windows store.

@parkwaydrive, if you have normal windows, you can download it here....

I may be misleading you guys I have assumed that windows 8 RT is the retail pack version which is what I have. Does the RT Suffix mean something else then? or am I correct in my assumption?
Thankls

well seeing as you have a "normal" version of windows, you can just download VLC from the link i posted above.

and just incase you don't know what that "ARM" is mentioned above, it's a different CPU architecture meaning you cannot not run normal windows applications on it. you can only install modern (metro) apps through the windows store.
