Hi,
I thought it would be best to open my own thread for this.
Im looking to get a new trimmer as my old one is no longer doing the job (bad timing) and with the lockdown I cant go to the barber so I like to get a new trimmer which will get the hair short as possible and also do the detail work, im not sure what to get.

In the past i've had the original wahl lithium ion and a Remington pg350, the walh did not get close as I would have liked over all seamed a littler clumsy rushed compared to the pro models. the Remington was plastic but did good a job and lasted me 5 years but now seam to get stuck on hair and parts are a little loose so I think its time for a upgrade.

What im hoping for.
Good build
Fast charge
good battery
close cut
not too bulk
last me another few years.

Any suggesting are welcome

I have a couple of Phillips ones
Sorry don't know model numbers right now
But no problem with those at all
The one that "hoovers" in the clippings is quite handy

Watching this thread, my Remington barely holds enough charge for one shave and the main blade never went quite as close as I wanted, seen a few with 0.4mm but reviews aren't the best.

Had a look on my Phillips
Weirdly no model number on either
At a guess one may be multi groom 7000
No idea what the other is
I know I paid under 50 for them and have no complaints with them

I think my clippers are coming towards the end of the life, charge isnt as good and not as sharp. I could do with a new one that gets really close for my head.

Thanks I was looking at a phillips 7000 as one of my main choices, ive noticed they do a few variations in the 7000, the one im looking at comes without the T blade which im hoping will not be too much of a issue the others are double the price at the moment. in the images the body looks a little bulky but I assume over time I would get use to it.

How do you find it ?

I've had the "Philips Series 7000 12-in-1 MG7710" for a good few years now - Hasn't faulted me. Lots of different attachments, and very easy to use.

No problem with battery life
Don't find it bulky though got big hands
Cuts nicely, does a good job
No complaints about it

I have a BaByliss 7898U. With the attachment open, it's a really close cut for a trimmer. The battery lasts an hour - and doesn't go down between charges.

Not sure what model mine is but its a philips beard trimmer and it has lasted years. Used it to shave my head the weekend too and it had no trouble.
so +1 recommendation for the brand.
