I'm going from my rig in sig... Mainly 8800 gtx (768) OC and stock intel qx 6700 @ 2.66 ghz.

I have 500 for cpu - memory - mobo and cooler.

250 for gfx card.

Play flight sims and iracing and use 24 dell @ 1920 1200 so don't need to go higher than that.

Have 2 x 150 gig raptors in raid 0 for os etc and 2 other drives for backup.

Have everything else... Also have a megahalems cpu cooler here if that will do new system.

Bit out of the loop since building this a few years back.... Do you care to recommend some parts from OC.

Thanks in advance.

You can get this for 700 quid. Also that megahelms cooler will do fine even if you want to get the 920 to 4.0Ghz.You can go for the Powercolor HD5850 but I suggest Sapphire because they have better support.

thanks - was just looking at the OC bundles...

whats the differencebetween an I5 @ 4ghz or the I7 @ 4ghz.... ?

+1 for will0812's suggestion. Thats a very good price for an i5 system. Not sure how flight simulator x (if thats the one you play) will be with the 5850 as its traditionally favoured nVidia cards. The above system will play fsx beautifully!

Unless your into video editing or rendering i5 will be fine rather than i7.

Not a huge amount, for gaming it is said that i5 is slightly better, i would suggest:

That bundle is nice, and is also cheaper than buying the parts seperately + you pretty much get the overclock for free(while its on deal of the week, so be quick!)

does the oc kit come pre built like cpu and cooler and ram attached to the mobo or do you have to do that yourself

He said he plays flight sims..

flight sims are more cpu dependant than gpu dependant so I would go for i7 instead of i5 and if your over budget go for the 5770 graphics card instead of the 5850.

thanks guys... gonna order tonight... might stretch to i7 and 5850.... ££££££ - chaching!
