One for front would like PTZ I like this style.

No hotlinking images - Davey

Would like it to track (motion track people passing or coming to the door).

In the back 60gbp and probs bullet but front is more imoprtant. Both hookup to a server and ISPY manages them.
 
The aerial screams 'IP cam', so someone with a clue is going to steal it.
Besides which, it's a camera, not some tacky Victorian decorative lamp.

Get bullet ones for both and conceal them if possible.
Wide angle lenses make PTZ rather pointless.
 
Why would you want to conceal cameras? Isn't that counter productive? Cameras can be a brilliant deterrent.

Because if you only have one dangling on a bracket as in the picture, it is easy to drop a bag over it. Most people put these up by the roof eaves so if you wear a hoodie they can't see a thing.
The half ball ones are better and don't pick up spiders so much.
Better still is a concealed bullet cam (like in a nest box), because if the OP is lucky the intruder will be looking up at the windows and you'll get a good picture.
If you can get one unseen at ground level then you are almost sure to get a picture.

The downside is that the IR LEDs can be picked up by any mobile phone camera, so anyone with a clue will have checked the house out before going near. A pro install would turn these off and use a separate IR source.

Otherwise, yes you are correct that cameras will be a deterrent, but you also give up the possibility of ever seeing the criminal and getting your stuff back. So it's a choice I guess.
 
Well goes both ways fancy cams that are empty or have cheap gear in - get em out on display so people so n look away. but the good ones I'd treat like snipers. Kids 'ere just smash em if they can but by the time in the house I can do a Royal Solami on em.

Now advice on making a floorplan? our house has PIRS+ALARM (being fitted) should I look for a way for the server to handle it? so if a guy is in nthe back the cams turn around and aim ready.
