Hi all,

I'd like to invest in a decent book on photography, ranging from camera skills to composition. I don't mind if it covers either/or, but I've not really read anything or had any formal tutoring since GCSE photography days (where I took little notice)!

So anything would be good, something I can really bury my head in during my 1/2 hour lunchbreaks (!), decent pictures would be a plus. Second hand is best, so I can go and look over at t'bay for something cheap as chips (I'm skint).

If this makes little sense, it's because I've been at the boomshine.

Someone recommended me the National Geographic books, had a quick look in Waterstones at them and they seemed really good....was a little skint at the time so couldnt buy though :( Theyre small in size so you wont have problems carrying it, and theyre full colour and have lots of photos and text in. Written by the Nat Geo photographers :)
