Hi all,

Long time lurker needing some help if possible.

I bought my last bundle from OcUK back in 2010 and it has been serving my needs very well, however I'm getting the itch to upgrade (it's been a very long 3 years..).

I'm currently running this system: *OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz @ 4.00GHz / Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 Intel P55 Motherboard / Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-12800C9 1600MHz DDR3 Bundle and apart from the odd stutter now and then it's been brilliant.

I'm not after the biggest and best bundle (400-450 is my budget) but I'm looking for something that will give me a bit more oomph.

If I could get more value out of buying separate components then I'm also happy to do that and build my own, however I'm not too comfortable with the idea of doing my own overclocking after my previous attempts back in 2002 resulted in the death of an AMD XP1800(!).

Thanks in advance

Wait for the haswell bundles not long now till their releasedyou could get more bang for your buck if not then id sudgest you wait get nearer the 650 mark and get somthing like

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-148-OE&groupid=43&catid=2512&subcat=2519

as at the end of the year their will be new chips for this socket and buy the time you want an upgrade again they should be descent prices and this CPU as is with a good GFX will destroy games easily.

If you want REd and ROG

Advising a Sandybridge-e on a 450 budget is crazy, especially when the op hasnt specified sli or crossfire. the 3570k will do the job with dual gpu configeration.

Apologies, I'm running a singular 7850 (at the moment) and £650 is outside of my budget. It seems that most threads I've read are recommend holding off until the new Haswell chips are out.

Micky you did read the fact that i said if you could wait till the haswell bundles also OR get 650 and go for a sandy bridge- e as the new x79 cpu will be out later this year Please read before you go calling people crazy
