Ok. So basically I am getting ready for the new range of GPU's.

(whatever one I finally get).

I want to buy a new motherboard, (an IP35) and since that means most of the stuff will be out of my case, I may as well nuke the current case I have. (which I actually got from a friend to replace my small no air flow case).

Anyways, I have never purchased a nice case before on PC's. I am looking for a nice easy to work in case (one that I won't cut my fingers open when working on it would be good too) and great air flow. Carry handles or similar would be great but certainly not "needed".

I would prefer a window if possible, but it really must be as "anti" dust as possible, and lastly pretty large so if I was to buy a 280 GTX I won't be muttering about needing to saw parts of my case to fit the thing in.

I was thinking of the Antec 900 or 1200, Its just that spending over 100 on a case is a bit :/

Any thoughts or suggestions ?

If you dislike dust I would steer clear of the antecs they must be absolute dust magnets with 3 fans at the front 1 on the side 1 huge one at the top and 2 at the rear ! go with the eclipse you wont be disappointed it's the best case sub £100 it could swallow a small moon.

I thought the antex 1200 comes with dust filters though ?

Also I really need a case that comes with all the fans and other bits... by the time I have paid out for windows and the rest it seems to work out the same price ast he 1200 :/

Pay for what you get save up some dosh and hit the big time with a thermaltak arnor lcs as this case is by far the strongest case i have ever used and i have been into pc custom building for 15 years

Antec 1200 is fitted with removable dust filters to all 120mm front fans, unlike the Antec 900 which do get dusty...

dust filters don't stop all dust and I mean more you have to clean it all a lot not to mention all those holes collecting dust at the front and top
the guys asking for as anti dust as possible and i think the antecs are quite far away from being as anti dust as possible is all.
I have fan filters on my eclipse I have a karma bay on it too and It still gets hecca dusty
Hey I like the antec 1200 too but I think if i had one it would get hecca dusty and i'd have to hoover it all up at least once a day or few days

Another vote for akasa eclipse/mirage

got them both here and for anti-dust I'd say the mirage has the edge. Must be due to the airflow through the door. I'm one of the rare few that actually prefer the look of the mirage as well.

cant go wrong with either though, and if/when my case needs replacing it will be with another mirage.

I totally agree that filters don't stop all the dust but are a welcome addition to any case. The biggest factor in how dusty a case gets is the location and enviroment its in, a room that is dusted and hoovered regulary will keep your case happy. Luckily my Antec 1200 has its own computer room and the case filters have very little to do....
