Recommend me a Conroe CPU Waterblock

Hi,

I'm putting together a Conroe based system as follows:

E6300
Gigabyte QS3

I'll be watercooling this and need recommendations on which waterblock to buy. Looks are not important. Functionality (ie. low temps) are important.

I already have the Swiftech MCW6002 S478 block, but this wont fit on the LGA775 socket of the Gigabyte motherboard.

Alphacool NexXxoS XP.

Might have to look around a bit for the LGA775 Mounting bracket version, but they are available with a quick google.

AquaXtreme MP-05 SP and mounts fine

Will it mount with the standed monting kit or do you need to buy additonal stuff? Never used a 775 but it looks quiet wide

The alphaextreme is very expensive (£48 inc del).
The Nexxxos is comparatively cheap (£28 inc del).

Is there really that much of a performance gap between the two blocks?

The Nexxxos is one of the best blocks you can buy, but you're only likely to be speaking about a few degrees difference between most of them.

An educated guess; the MP-05 at about 1/2 a degree better. Nothing in it really.
