Recommend me a decent 43" TV...

I'm in a position where I am in need of a circa 43" TV - predominant use will be with a games console, possibly even a PS5 if that's where it ends up!

It's not a big room and so much north of 43" is likely to be impractical, which annoyingly seems to rule out the vast majority of OLED sets (unless I'm wanting to pay a lot, which I'm not!)

Are there any widely recognised decent sets at this sort of size, ideally less than around £700?

I'm conscious of the PS5's capabilities in terms of HDMI 2.1 but not sure how much this will affect gaming, especially on a smaller screen??

Any recommendations welcome!

Thanks, I've had a watch of a number of reviews and am quite drawn to the 43" Samsung Q60T - only downsides seem to be this one is a 60hz panel and doesn't have VRR - although I'm struggling to find any circa 43" sets that do feature these elements!?!?

Anyone got any experience of this set for gaming??

Hmmm, been doing a bit more digging and it would appear that it's slim pickings for a 43" panel!

I've been reading various reviews and comparisons and have all but settled on the Sony KD43XH8505 - seems to tick a lot of the boxes for me!

Again does anyone have any experience of this one?

I bought a 43" Samsung to replace my Sony 40" - the Samsung is overall smaller than my old Sony and I could have gone one size bigger - point of this is measure again to be sure. Wish I had.

Personally I always go bigger than what you think by at least two sizes, my 75" does my head in now... which I'd gone 85"... just get so used to the size of TV's nowadays...

Unfortunately any TV below 55" these days is pretty much mediocre even the most expensive sets.

There are a few exceptions like the 48/49 inch oled and a few 50's but ideally if you want a good TV you need to be looking at a 55" minimum.
