Even though I live in London I don't get out much so I don't really know where to go out. The only obvious place is Leicester Square but I hear its a bit touristy.

Anyway, I need to go out this Friday and/or Saturday, with my gf, maybe a few friends (all from out of town), so somewhere that's not empty, not extortionately expensive, good music, fairly central...? Am I asking too much?

Well could you Londoners just tell me what your favourite club is and why?

:)

I've been to a few, from Fabric in Farrginton to some weird underground garage ones in Angel. The best and my favourite is The End near Center point, its not too big, good DJ but pricey.

fabric is pretty good

otherwise clubs/bars i can think of include:

reasonably priced:

gardening club - covent garden
road house (i think) - covent garden

pretty expensive and busy:
cafe de paris - picadilly circus
elycium - picadilly circus
cc club - picadilly cirucs
funky buddha - mayfair

I also loath zoo bar, though i can see why some people like it, but i find it always over crowded and they seem to think distorted bass is a good way to play music.

Fabric = City
The End = Westend
Ministry of Sound = South of the River
Bar Rumba = Westend
The Cross = Kings Cross
Egg Club = Kings Cross

Recomend them all but check whats on on the night......... :D

Only been to Zoo Bar, was pretty good but expensive to me anyway. Though I guess a tenner to get in and £3.50 for a bottle of beer is pretty standard in London :(

Motown, but i am not telling u where it is. open til 4am, £3 to get in and awesome motown music. my little secret, and its 2 min walk from centre point :)
