Hello

Can you please recommend me a fantastic restaurant in Leeds city centre. It has to be in the city centre.

I've had the chain stuff like Bella Italia etc. I'm really looking for a privately owned restaurant. The types of cuisine I'm not looking for are Italian and Indian. So other than that, I'm open to suggestions.

Per head I'm prepared to pay around £25 - £35 per person for a three course meal excluding drinks. Obviously the cheaper the better, but not at the expense of decent quality.

I'm not expecting The Ritz, but I am expecting a decent meal.

Leeds is a vibrant city so I'm sure there are a lot of restaurants to choose from.

My boyfriend and I recently visited a restaurant called "Blackhouse" it's a quite nice steakhouse in the centre with a nice menu - we spent about £60 for 2 of us! :-) http://www.blackhouse.uk.com/ - Don't know if that's any help!

We also go to a restaurant called Red Chilli which is the best chinese we have ever been too - not like a takeaway but I don't know if that's what you're looking for! :-) xx
 
Bit late, but The Calls is nice, Brio is good, Sous lez Nez is nice, Browns in the Light has nice food but poor choice and service isn't the best. I think my favourite is Bibi's.
