Recommend me a Freeview box

don't get a cheap one unless you know someone that has one and you have tried it......................Sony is the one to get NO problems, a fast interface for going through channels and you don't have to power it ON/OFF as you will do when your cheap Digi box locks.......or slows to a crawl when flicking through channels
Try before you buy

Buy cheap buy twice as they say. Much better to buy a quality one such as a sony. Got one and it is very good.

Mine cost £275...
...but then it's a 250GB Topfield PVR, can't fault it.

Twin tuners, record two programmes and watch a third. Pause, rewind live tv. Download 14 day guide from the Radio Times website, pull of stuff via my network and watch it on the bus! :D

bought a cheepy £25 from supermarket! remote does feel a bit cheep but have had no problems with it, flicks through the channels and the tv guide etc. without too much problem!

Got a cheapo Digilogic here, no problems at all!, Would have brought cheaper but needed dual scart for my home cinema system.

I bought a Wharfedale DV832B for £30 a few months ago and it works a treat. Lightning fast text, great 7 day program guide and hasn't crashed on me so far. It also looks a lot nicer than some of the more expensive models.

Another vote for the Sony, although it annoyingly draws just as much power (50w!) in standby - unplug when not in use!

(I bought a watt meter for the PC and have also been testing other electrical items :))
