Recommend me...A Game Pad

Hi guys

I decided to hook out my eight year old gamepad tonight...went to plug in the 15pin D connector only to find my X-Fi soundcard has a lot more than 15 pins on it...bah.

So...looks like a USB gamepad is on the cards.

Can anyone recommend one? I'm undecided on wireless, though will probably be happy enough with a wired pad rather than paying extra for wireless, I'm open to suggestions though!

While we're at it...any suggestions on good beat-em-ups I can use it with?

xbox 360pad best ive ever used tbh, feels better than a PS pad even

Gamepads were recently discussed here

I've not played any decent beat-em-ups on the PC although I hear Guilty Gear X2 Reload is quite good.

Thanks for the replies and link to the older thread.

It seems that a poster in that thread had trouble getting a game to work.

Have any of you had any problems getting games to work with this pad or are any niggles sorted with the latest drivers?

Also I'm looking at any games that are good with gamepads...

So far I've got:
Virtua Fighter
One Must Fall 2097 (yup - really old!)
Mortal Kombat 3
Prince of Persia - Sands of Time

Any other good games that would work well on a gamepad?

Sensible Soccer 2006 is a must have, you can pick it up dirt cheap now as well.
