Recommend me a game

[Sudden]

I'm looking for a PS2 game i can buy off amazon, from amazon which can be dispatched within 24 hours. i ordered two PC games from there, but they will be dispatched within 1-2 weeks

I'm looking for a good action game, maybe something similar to the PoP series. I've already finished God of War and Devil May cry 3, so no point in recommending those.

Any other games which are similar and really good?

If not, any action type game. If it's a shooter, then with auto aim, I don't like aiming with the analog, thats what the PC is for
I don't like racing at all, and RTS should be on PC.

Barring that of course, all recommendatiosn welcome

I quite liked "Primal", the 3D Castlevania games arent too bad either. Legacy of Kain : Defiance would be pretty high up on my list as well. Tomb Raider : Legend ?

shadow of the colossus!! its an absolutely amazing game, check out some reviews though cos its a little different to normal action games . its sorta got the platforming of PoP and its beautifully done. its definitely not as "action packed" as the likes of god of war/dmc series though.

metal gear solid series is also excellent, and also onimusha series is great, you can pick the older ones for very cheap and theres 4 of them to go through

if you're in to rpg's then the final fantasy series are a good bet and they will last you good while longer than any action game.

are you into beat'em'ups at all? i recommend soul calibur 3 and tekken 5, though its only good if you have good competition to play against.

i guess with onimusha, it would be best to start from the first one if you intend to play them all since they all add minor improvements through the series. i know you can pick up the first two for reeeeally cheap if you look about, not sure what amazons prices are like

with final fantasy.. ive personally started on final fantasy 7 which i still think is the best out of the lot . i played thtrough 7,8,9,10,10-2 and enjoyed them all. it doesnt really matter where you start off with these since none of the storylines follow each other (except for 10 and 10-2). if graphics are important to you then you should start with 10, the ones before 10 are for the psone or other formats

I think i'm gonna lay off final fantasy. I don't like the idea of lengthy turn based combat too much. I liked RPG's like neverwinter nights, more real time

Onimusha: Dawn of dreams seems pretty good though.
Which would you recommend between that and colossus?

I like beat-em ups, but i've already got tekken 5, soul calibur 2 and most of the Mortal Kombat's (im a MK fanboy )

I wouldnt call a 77% average score for Kain : Defiance bad at all. Its also one of the most visually stunning games i've played.

You shouldnt dismiss TR: Legend as it plays a lot like the PoP games. 83% average score.

You may like Baldur's Gate : Dark Alliance 1 and 2, and Champions of Norath 1 and 2. They are action based RPGs and very good in my opinion.

hmm, if you want more PoP style, more platforming/puzzles than action then go for colossus. if you want something more similar to dmc style action then onimusha

personally i would go for colossus, the presentation and style is simply amazing and definitely a game everyone should experience. its very hard to describe colossus and i know im making it sound a little 'boring' by describing it as a platform game but im having a tough time describing it . its also very hard to find video footage of the game without spoiling it for you, due to the nature of the game.

The score for legacy of kain, I just looked at gamespot's 6.9 and the first line ofthe review saying how disappointing it was

All the games seem pretty good though on closer inspection

I think i'm gonna go with ojste's recommendation of Shadow of the Colossus. The review, as I remember, was pretty good and a friend of mine played the demo and said it was great.

I also just realized thanks to melchy that I have Bladur's gate I lying around, so I can take taht with me

I'm basically getting a few games ready when I make my trip to India for a month. I'm not gonna have much to do the whole day except, play, eat and sleep hehe

So far, i've ordered hitman blood money and aoe 3 for pc. Might try out elder scrolls. I'm going to order shadow now.
Apart from that, taking some old games along like MGS3, gta SA (might buy liberty city stories when it comes out), UT 2k4, Baldur's gate, and a few others.

I think it should be enough
