Recommend me a gaming surface

Hi guys

Looking a large gaming surface to fit my keyboard mouse and maybe monitor on once my office is decorated. Main reason for it is to protect my desk as it will be a wood that may scratch easily.

Is there a difference in terms of smoothness when using a mouse with certain mats or are they just a personal preference/image kind of thing?

I think that's the one. perfect size as the depth of my desk will be 600mm.
