I have had enough of this Akasa. Only had it a week and hate the looks. I much prefered the original Eclipse though that was not a pretty picture either.

So I want a high end case that cools as well as the Akasa or close to. Would prefer no door, but if I have to compromise so be it. Budget up to 250 quid, so almost anything is open. Ruled out the Lian Li V2000 cause I don't like the looks. I want to be able to run this case with quiet fans and the cheesegrater doesn't help.

What I have shortlisted

1. Original stacker..can get them very cheap locally (about 80 sterling). Would add an additional 4in1 drive for extra cooling, replace the noisy top 80mm fan. Looks are ok I suppose, better then Akasa, but concerned over the issues people were having getting their pci cards to sit right.

2. Lian Li A10...everything about this I like except the door and the fact I could be left with an empty psu bay, so crap gets into the case.

3. Silverstone Tj07 - now we are talking. No door. Clean smooth looks. I know the Tj07 had some complaints about poor gpu cooling which is easily solved with a Scythe Katana in the front. And I know the fans are not the quietest on the Silverstone - also easily solved as I have tonnes of quiet fans. And also have some extenders for the psu's to reach the 12v connector on the mobo, so that is not a problem. 2 things that concern me are whether I will be able to fit my 120mm fan on my Ninja so it is blowing air into the case as I know the rear fans blow in on the TJ07. Also, lots of complaints about sticking panels, and mobo standoffs not screwing in right, and scratching when taking side panel off. Supposed to be fixed with Rev 2.

So any suggestions ?

Forgot that one..is that not more for water cooling though and still the problem of an empty psu hole. Also the A10 looks like it has got way better cooling.

Would be interested in hearing peoples opinions on the Tj07 as that case really does it for me, but like I said there seems to be problems with rev1 versions.

TJ07 is a great case, just the cooling is a bit naff and its also a little loud.

But looking at your post, it looks as though you have your mind set for a TJ07! Go for it!!!

If I could find someone who could confirm if they fixed the issues (sticking side panel, scratching, hard to remove drive bays etc) then I would.

Why is the cooling naff ?

Cheers mate.

After a think - I might hold off the Lian Li A10

Although I saw a Coolermaster Stacker original going in a local PC shop today for 90 quid. From the demo model I looked at the aluminium on the side panels seemed very flimsy as did the top panel, and didn't like the way the psu/80mm fan cutouts are screwed on in the back.

Im sorely tempted at the moment to get a Lian Li G70 - Seen one going for £135 notes on the internet........

I was going to get an Eclipse and be done with it, but I don't think I'll be happy until I have a monster server case!! :D

Alphacool Ready2Go 12V Stacker Black UNI is a stacker 810 with built-in water cooling. Costs £275-ish but it could house 2 PCs and a family of 4 and with the water cooling you'll not need any other fans in it.

Brilliant case setup.
