I want a screen no bigger then 16". It will mainly be used to surf the net and play my emulators on. I do not intend to be playing new games on it.

And the important bit, it needs to be no more than £350.

Asus Eee PC 701-WT Intel Mobile 900MHz Notebook (White)

I have been looking at this but will it be able to play emulators smoothly?

Please disregard the laptop I was looking in my first post. I posted that 8 months ago and obviously better products have come available since then. I do not particually care what type of laptop it is (netbook, notebook, etc). To be honest I don't even know the differences are between them, hehe. I just want something that has a small screensize and capable of running Sega Megadrive/Genesis and S/NES emulators. I do not require this laptop for 3D games. It will be used primarely for work, internet, bit of programming and a bit of retro gaming.

Much love

Cheapest Dell Vostro series.

Can probably get a 15" with a Core 2 Duo for that budget.

Netbooks have really small screens - between 7" and 10" and generally don't have CD/DVD drives.

I would say to get the best spec for your money, I'd go with the Dell Vostro (although they have to be purchased through the Business part of the website and all prices are +Vat)
