recommend me a lens like nikon 17-55 or 24-70 2.8

as per title really, would like something like the nikon 17-55 f2.8 but cant afford the £1k price bracket

have looked at the sigma 24-70 which is around the £500 mark but have heard it doesnt have any dust or weather sealing.

thanks guys have been looking around for the 17-55 and the reviews seem pretty amazing. dont mind heavy! mind price!

i think i might hire one first before jumping straight in, but the more i read about it the more i like it
