Despite my numerous PC upgrades, I still have the same old 22'' Mirai TFT that came with my Mesh Computer years and years ago (unlike everything else from Mesh it still holds up today).

I think it's probably about time to upgrade.

I'm looking for something that will be great for gaming, but as I'm studying for a law degree (which involves a hell of a lot of online reading and typing), it'll have to be a good monitor for professional functions (i.e. reading and typing for half of your life).

I'm having trouble finding any 16:10 monitors these days, and that would probably be a plus, but I'd be just as happy with 16:9 (unless anyone would be able to point out an inherent benefit of 16:10 or 16:9).

The Mirai is a 1680 x 1050 monitor, so naturally I want to take it up a notch. This is certainly a good resolution, but I'd love to have sharper resolutions in games, and be able to cram more on screen when I'm studying/writing. 1080p would be fine (unless someone can show me otherwise, as with 16:9), but the higher the resolution the better (I can always have an insane desktop resolution and roll game resolutions back to my liking for the sake of performance). Keep in mind I'm running on a single OCed 560 ti.

In addition to this I'd also like to use it for my 360 (if last year taught me anything, you'll never have a hope in hell of using your 360 when it's hooked up to the living room TV), so two HDMI sockets is a big plus (I can use a set of Turtle Beach headphones for the 360).

To top it all off, I'd like it to be between 24'' and 27'', preferably LED (unless anyone can convince me otherwise), and around £250 or less.

In addition to this, I should probably point out I absolutely hate curvy monitors, and love the straight, built-like-a-brick look of the classic Dell flat panels.

The Acer S243HL and S273HL have caught my eye the most, but I'd love some other recommendations.
