Hi. It's been a while since I've bought anything from OCUK, but the time has finally come: I'm thinking about buying a new mousemat.
I've looked at the plethora of mousemats on offer and it seems they are mostly all around £10-£15.
I will be gaming, but mostly playing LoL. So nothing that serious. I will be looking at playing Battlefield 3 when it comes out. At the moment I use a Logitech RX1000, which will soon be replaced by the Logitech M500. Both use a 1000dpi sensor.
Looking for a mousemat that's around medium size, to sit on a wooden surface, compatable with a laser sensor, that's also good for gaming.
Cheers,
alastair

Another vote for the boogie mat.

Had mine over a year now with everyday use and still looks new.you can even wash it :)

Im on my second boogie bug - they're awesome when you get used to the surface and also look great.

The only downside is that ill shortly be ordering my third as they get marked easily and look so much better when pristine and black and not with grey scuffs all over :)

steel series hard mats are really nice but...

its all down to personal taste I prefer hard mats for fps and a cloth for mmo and other games but some people cant get on with a hard mat and even then there are more options like how much resistance ect you like on your mat
do you want totaly smooth or a textured surface ect

Thanks for the quick replies. I don't really know whether I'd like a textured one or a totally smooth. Aren't the smooth ones incompatible with laser mice?

I've got the Boogie Bug XL and it's pretty good but I also have a Puretrak Talent mouse mat which absolutely destroys the boogie bug.

I still have the boogie bug underneath for keyboard etc but the Puretrak is the winner.

Buy one - you won't regret it I promise you.

You could always do what a cheapskate friend did.... went to ASDA got a flat baking tray (teflon coated of course) and used that. £2.49..... much cheapness !!
