Recommend me a NAS / Media Streamer

i bought a linksys nas200 some time ago. ok, so it has disks which i operate in raid configuration.

There is a media streamer built in but there are no configurable security/user options. The entire unit is fairly slow, I would not recommend.

I'm using an EEE Box and an external USB drive to stream to my PS3. Using it headless, it uses hardly any power and running Ubuntu on it so I use it for ssh from the internet to my home network, remote desktop to my Mac etc.

I'm using 'PS3 Media Server' for the actual streaming part, works really well with HD content. Obviously this solution is twice the price of that NAS but it's so flexible for other things. I don't bother with backups apart from my MP3's to ipod and laptop, as I'll probably never watch most of the films I download ever again. I used to have a load of divx films stored on a server wiht RAID5 but I dumped them due to HD films being much better quality.

Maybe a bit more background on my setup might help.

PS3 is not plugged into main living room TV. It is in the study with a monitor (has HDMI).

Then me and my partner have a laptop each. I want to centrally store photos and mp3s on so we dont need a copy each. But i'd like to stream to PS3 too as that may go on the main TV when I upgrade it. I think the box I linked to looks ideal. Has anyone got one?
