Yeah, sorry for this but I've been umming and ahhing over the forums for the past few days and I'm nowhere nearer a decision.

At the moment I have:
CoD3, GoW, R6: Vegas, Dead Rising and Forza 2
..all of which I enjoy a lot. I've just finished replaying Fable as well.

I'm tempted by GRAW2 and The Darkness, though I'm not too sure about them. People seem to slightly mixed opinions on The Darkness, and I wasn't a massive fan of the original Ghost Recon, though the newer games appear to be a bit more approachable. There's plenty of stuff on the horizon (Bioshock, Fable 2, Assassins Creed) which look brilliant, but are obviously not quite on the cards just yet.

Any recommendations? The 360 is still sorely lacking a decent adventure yarn, which is a shame

Like you I never liked GRAW1 but I was hoping GRAW2 would be better for me. I was wrong, IMO it is rubbish, I hate the HUD, too much going on, I just can't stand it.

If I were you, I would (I did) sign up for an online rental service for £10-15 a month and rent all the games you want to play. You can cancel after a month or two if you like. Try LoveFilm, Boomerang.co.uk
There are others but I don't know what they are, I think one is SwapGame.

You misunderstand me. I meant I tried the first GR (Infact GR2, but nevermind) and didnt like it. I've never played GRAW or it's sequel and from what I understand they're more console orientated (or am I totally off the ball?)

Renting isn't an option as I change addresses rather often at the moment (Uni, or home with one or other set of parents). Posting DVDs et al is also one of my major pet hates, as pathertic as that is. :( ;)

Still, The Darkness looks like a strong possibility. I just quite fancy the idea of GRAW on Live, though I've foolishly left my 360 headset at Uni while Im home. Best get hold of another one.

Oh, then I'd definitely be tempted to go for GRAW games, I really like them, especially in multiplayer, which for my money is the best on any game on the console bar Burnout: Revenge.

If you didn't really like GRAW you won't like GRAW2; it really is more of the same.

If you want a good adventure and I'm presuming you've played Oblivion in some form (if not get that and read no further) you could look at:

Enchanted Arms ~ A japanese rpg with a good length and story.
Kameo ~ Fun adventure and looks beautiful

As for 'The Darkness', it really is a good story driven fps and well worth buying. For a good fps you could also take a look at Prey ~ It's a tad old school but very good looking and a lot of fun.

Oblivion?

I really enjoyed Tomb Raider Legend, quite short but you can pick it up for like 13 quid and there are lots of achievement things.

I loved GRAW so I'd recommend it to anyone. The second is more of the same I believe and from the reviews I've read/heard It's pretty good. I'd also recommend Crackdown. It's a bit easy in parts so play in on Hard but I'm still playing it now and trying to get all of the Orbs etc. Or how about Burnout?

Lost Planet : Extreme Conditions is one of the best 360 games out that you havent got, must have imo.

Oblivion Oblivion Oblivion

I must enquire as to whether you have played

Oblivion

If not you should get

Oblivion

because Oblivion is brilliant, and without a doubt still the best game of it's kind around.

hey, this mans talking sense :D

and once your finished with that (we're talking atleast 250 hours down the line) get Shivering Isles, one of the best expansion packs i have ever played. If this doesn't satisfy your adventure craving, then your not human man!

Alas, I already have Oblivion on the PC (actually, it didn't do that much for me if I'm honest).
Cheers for everyone's input. I think I'll shortlist The Darkness for now, and maybe see what bargains (Tomb Raider, Crackdown, et al) I can pick up when I'm next in town.

Iv heard if you use love file and enter the following code you will get 3 months free rentals: LFZZ98778

I did and I'm just finishing my trial now (I've liked it so much I've actually payed for another 3 months).

You'll find though that if you have games and movies in your list you'll only ever be sent the films.

The trick is to delete everything from your queue and only have the one or two games you want. This can add an extra days wait to the turn-around but you'll get one :)

Had Call of Juarez, the Harry Potter game (my wife loves this), GRAW2 and Potc this last month alone. (As well as a load of films ~ got 'The Pretige' atm). They also rent HD-DVD and Blu-Ray ~ Really thinking about the HD-E1 HD-DVD drive...

I think The Godfather is well under-rated!

Marvel Alliance is awesome is you either like the characters (comics) or like walk along beat em up games like Streets of Rage.

GRAW2 is about 10 minutes in single player, but apparently multiplayer is where it's at.
The darkness is a bit ****

As smcshaw said above you could look at Prey, also there is lost planet. I picked up the LE of lost planet in my supermarket for about 17 quid the other week. Also BF2 is worth a buy. Still quite popular online last time i was on.
The godfather is a good game, better than Saints row IMO.

But all the cool kids play Guitar Hero 2! it is a must for anyones collection. Serious, even McDaniel bought it, and he said it looked like a kiddies game.

I want the sing star games to be released on the 360... does that make me a bad person?? :p
