Using a logitech mx5000 bundle and have now decided a downgrade is in order as this is overkill. Can someone recommend me a nice wireless keyboard and mouse. The keyboard should have media controls (play, pause, next track, etc) and the mouse will hopefully be rechargable. I'm hoping to spend under £40 for this as well. Any recommendations?

Thanks
Rich

I know this isn't what you suggested, but since you seem to be interested in media controls, it seems relevent.

I use the Logitech MediaPlay http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Cordless_Mice.html , totally brilliant. Has Play/Pause, fforward/rewind, volume and a 'Media' button (to open player) right in the mouse, in totally sensible positions so you don't accidently press them. Also has the usual 5-button stuff (though both two side buttons are on the left, you get used it to), as well as a tilt wheel. So far, I can't even remember the last time I changed batteries.

So much easier than using a media keyboard, I've stopped using the media buttons on my keyboard and an now looking for a standard keyboard that takes up less desk space.

Possibly becuase this is an £90 set and offers features which I don't need (laser mouse, lcd screen, bluetooth, etc)

And shakey that looks excellent, will defintly be looking into that.

You NEED a laser mouse. Get the Logitech wireless bundle its about £30.

I've found them to be much more accurate and sensitive to movement, which when playing games can only be a good thing. Will add that to the short-list. Any more reccomendations?

Cool. I've ordered a laser mouse but I was unsure at the time whether I was just splurging money on a gimmick. Good to hear it will be a noticeable improvement.

I always go for corded mice and keyboards. Can't stand the thought of having to replace/recharge batteries to be able to interface with my machine!
