Hi everyone.
I'm looking for a quiet and 430w+ PSU for around £50.
Any suggestions?

I currently using the one that came with my Chieftec Dragon case a couple of years ago. This is 360W I believe.

I'm looking for a bit more juice to power another harddrive & possibly dual core in the future. Needs to be quiet too.

Plus, do all PSU's fit all cases? Does it matter what size fan the PSU comes with? All the other fans in my case are 80mm.

Thanks.

PSUs don't all fit in all cases, some are rather long and can have difficulty in short cases and others use a custom design (such as small form factor cases) or individual to the manufacturer.

The case you have I am 99% sure is a standard ATX design with plenty of room at the back so you shouldn't have to worry.

The size of the fan in the PSU is only important in regards that (generally) a 120mm fan will be quieter (fewer rotations), shift more air and have a longer lifespan than an 80mm one. I'd suggest you get a PSU with a 120mm fan and if you really want quiet the Seasonic would be ideal.

The Chieftec Dragon is a bit of a beast of a case(no pun intended) and will easily accomodate most PSUs(it might struggle with a Galaxy but if you are spending that sort of money you can afford the best cases anyway), I'd agree with Tetras for ~£50 the Seasonic 430w is a good choice.
