Afternoon folks, bought my new motherboard (Z77/H77) , GPU (750ti), all is well and good until it comes to wiring my PSU to my motherboard. Need an 2x4 ATX 12 v power connector. Yet mine seems to be 2x2. Instead of buying an adapter for my old 440w PSU decided to get a new one. Can you recommend me one?

Running:
Intel Core i7 2600 CPU
GeForce 750ti 2GBDDR5
2TB sea gate HD
12GB RAM
Z77 ATX Gigabyte D3H motherboard
Artic Cooling Freezer 13 CPU cooling fan
As well as two fans built into my case
Oh and my CD/DVD/bluray drive

Am I okay with any PSU? Or do I need a certain wattage. Cheers!

That VP450P is a bloody bargain! Was £41.99 until recently, when I did a massive deal with OcUK for them. :)

They should do the job, if you want a modular PSU then just say.

The Antec is particularly cheap at the moment.

What do you mean by modular? Will all of those be compatible, and powerful enough? Say I wanted to install an SSD or eventually a new GPU, would they do the job?

Modular means that the cables are not fixed in, they come loose and allow you to plug in just the cables you use into the PSU.
None modular = wires are all hard-wired into the PSU unit.

They would all be fine for your current system, howeve rif you wanted a better GPU you may struggle with them, adding an SSD would be fine though they use very little power.

Modular means some all all of the cables are detachable from the PSU body, so you only attach what you need making cable management easier.

450W or higher is enough for your spec.

What would you recommend modular or non modular? How much more difficult is it to install a modular unit compared to a non modular? Do you have to do all the wiring into the PSU yourself?

Modular can come in handy with small cases, if there is one within budget then go for it. The cables just plug into the side of the PSU.

I don't mind spending up to £50. But that antec one seems a steal. Will it work with all of my parts? Cables included in that too? Sorry I'm not really knowledgeable on PSU's. Would it have a 2x4 ATX 12v power connector?
