Recommend me a photography course, please...

Hi guys, I've always wanted to get into photography but other than having a rubbish 2 mega pixel cam and an interest I have no idea where to begin.

With so many hits coming up on Google for the Liverpool area I'm at a total loss... what would you all recommend?

They only tend to run them a couple of times a year and the March/April dates are getting full. Several different courses on offer though.

It MIGHT be a good idea to find your nearest camera club. Just drop in (it's usually only couple of quid or so, per eve/session) & chat to them about what you think you want.
The majority of them will be more than willing to help.

Check out your local Adult Education Centre. I'm hoping to grab a place on Septembers intake for C&G L1 course then L2 the year after but the courses aren't announced until June.

This is the Essex Adult learning centre to give you an idea of some Photography courses available. I'm sure your area will have something similar.

hi guys, I am really excited as I also took a photography course with photoion photography and I really enjoyed it so much! I definitely recommend them

Vidar, I don't think that megapixels matter so much, as I just found out that there many other things more important than the pixels in photography. I recently took some great images with a mobile phone (sorry, don't know how to upload images here) and they look great!

Mark Wallace's digital photography one on one is a very good series of you tube videos. Start by looking at the very earliest videos, that's where he covers the basics.

Feels weird being a student again at 37!. Got my student card last week as well, cheap beer yay!!!!!!

I have no intention of taking it any further, just be nice if I could get the most out of my camera.
