recommend me a psu

hi,

i need a new psu for my old pc. its a socket A athlon 1800+. i would really like the psu to be compatible with newer motherboards aswell if possible (am2/new intel boards etc)..

budget £60 inc

The SS 430W lacks PCI-E graphics connectors, so if you don't want to use Molex to PCI-E, get another PSU. Do you want SLI GFX power outputs also?

thanks for the replies all.

basically i want the psu to be future proof for a new rig when i eventually upgrade. i won't be using sli when i do upgrade, if thats what you mean

I dont think that ATX 1.3 and ATX 2 will not run newer motherboards... and I also wouldnt run Conroe or AM2 on a 420w PSU

argh, i would go for the seasonic as you recommended but i would like future compatibility with newer chips as well

Sorry what I mean is that 1.3 will not run the newer motherboard... sorry
