Recommend me a quiet CPU cooler

Hi

Anybody recommend me a quiet cheapish cpu cooler? Will be used to overclock a q6700.

Can't be insanely large like the tuniq tower though.

Got one yesterday and it is ace. At a low speed it is ridiculously quiet, and load temps are around 15C less than with my stock Intel one!

Yeah gonna go for the freezer 7. Seems good value and most of the customer reviews are good.

, he compared size to the Tuniq and that's no where near as big as a Tuniq.

Have several of these too (AK-965) and they are pretty quiet yeah. The only snag is the vertical design, it can make installation difficult if you don't do the pushpins on the obstructed side 1st and 3rd.

I just took the fan off, was really easy-it just clips onto the cooler. Also there is exactly the same problem with the Freezer 7!

I found the Freezer 7 insanely difficult to fit first time, but it was the first ever push-pin cooler I'd fitted. The 2nd time I made sure the pins were rotated the right way (!) first, fitted it outside the case, and was able to see underneath the mobo that it was fitted nicely. And then it's perfect. Does a good job too, 10-15C below Intel stock cooler, well good enough for moderate overclocks. Very happy with mine
