Recommend me a SCART cable

Hello,

I've just about got together all the components for my first attempt at a home entertainment system (widescreen TV, DVD player/recorder, freeview box, VCR, 5.1 amplifier etc.). The individual components are all pretty much mid-range specification, and all I have left to decide on now is which scart cables to get to link them together.

I don't want to pay the earth, but it would be good to have something of reasonable quality which will hopefully last through future upgrades.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks :)

Thanks for the replies guys :)

The total cost of my kit so far has come to around £850 so I think I can justify spending a bit on some decent scart cables.

I think most likely I'll be going for the Thor cables, I was looking at these anyway and they do seem good for the price.

Well, im still a sceptic to be honest, in not running cheap stuff either its all decent equipment for an average house, 2k television, £600 DVD player, the amp was £250, and i cant see the difference, at all.

No disrespect to you mate, but I find that a bit difficult to believe.

I know the only benefit of using good cables will be to allow your equipment to show it's true potential and will not compensate for having a bad TV or DVD player, but I would have thought that using the cheap £1.99 or so cables you see in places like supermarkets is asking for trouble.

Theres just no way they can be manufacured to anything like the same standard of some of the quality cables you see, and surely something has to be missed out to keep the costs down?

Just my thoughts anyway.
