I am using the Astro A50 as my current set and that is falling apart. Wireless seems to drain the battery far to quickly and/or range is getting worse.

Budget is around £300. £50 for a separate mic if needed

Ideally would like headphones which is good for general stuff besides gaming.. BT/Wireless preferred.. and also prefer one without a mic - getting fed up with the missus mistaking me for a call center, though not explicitly without one.

Been looking at the Arctic Nova Pro but had heard mixed opinions about comfort etc.

What do you guys suggest

For that price I can highly recommend the Audeze maxwell, Planar headset, wireless, bluetooth, usb, 3.5. Built in mic and boom mic. Able to have two inputs and works on most things. If you don't want the mic there's a switch on the side of the headset as well. I have them and the sound is amazing, also get 70-80 hours from the battery.

yes.. whilst i like to do the odd bit of gaming.. i'm not limiting my options with specific gaming headsets.. The Audeze is one i have been looking at as a possible candidate, as well as the B&O Beoplay.. specifically the old H9 (current lineup way outside my price range)

i use IEMS they give me some of the best sound i have ever had. Dont even need to go silly on the price think i paid £120 for mine and used rest of my budget to get a Decent mic.

Give the Hifiman Deva Pro with the wireless adapter a shot, they can be had for under £140. Worst comes to worse you can send them back if you don't get on, they sure as hell blow the a50s out of the water imo.

I'd never in a million years spend over a tenner on IEM's personally, but that's largely preference on my end.

Think it is about time that I replace my Astro A50's as well. Battery has pretty much gone in them now.

Will be taking a look at the suggestions in here.

Another vote for the Audeze maxwell, good connection options you get a boom mic with it too but can use the built in mic, sound is fantastic too, plenty of preset options, and comes with a dongle with a xbox/pc switch so easily connected to both.
