Morning all,
Not so long ago (about Christmas time) I built myself a media centre. For a few months I had it powering the TV's speakers and they are poo. So, I nicked my pc speakers (old cambridge audio 4.1) which improved the situation massively.

I now want to buy an integrated speaker setup.I unfortunately don't have the space for my floorstanding missions in my living room :(. Preferably 5.1, though I wouldn't say 'no' to a nicegood quality 2.1 setup.

My initial reaction was to buy the most expensive, but that isn't always the most cost effective or any guarantee on quality. As it's for my living room it's got to be reasonable pleasing to the eye. My G/F would like them to be wireless (and pretty).

My thought process followed this progression (in start at the top and work my way down kind of way;) )
Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 Speakers (as they have good write ups)
Altec Lansing MX5021 2.1
Altec Lansing FX6021 2.1
Logitech Z-5500 THX® Certified 5.1 505 Watts Speakers
Logitech Z-5450 THX® Certified 5.1 315 Watts Wireless Speakers
SpeedLink Xanthos SL-8275 5.1 Wireless Speaker System

I include the Z-5450 and the SL-8275 as the G/F likes the tidy no-wires approach. I prefer quality pf sound. My only concern is that these setups are for desktop use, and not really home theatre/DVD/TV use.

Can anyone offer constructive advice, insight, own experience to help me make up my mind.

Oh, and if it makes any difference, I've currenty got a soundblaster Live 5.1 card in the media centre. I also might be upgrading the soundcard. Audigy 2's aren't expensive now!

Thanks for reading. Don't be shy, share your experiences. Ta.
