No its wired, and they are about £30 on ebay if you don't buy the N version buy the G version and plug it into ethernet, they are really really reliable and easy to setup. Just plug in the ethernet and the usb and your done.
Downstairs
- Windows PC (Vista, bog standard big D machine)
- HP Officejet Pro K550 Printer connected via USB to PC
- Cable internet connection via wired connection from Netgear WGT624v3 Wireless router.
Upstairs
- Windows PC (XP, spec in sig) connected to wireless network (can print on downstairs printer over wireless)
- Macbook (Leopard, spec in sig) connected to wireless network (CANNOT print on downstairs printer over wireless)
What I need is a print server that will let all three of these print on the printer whilst it is downstairs. So the downstairs PC does not have wireless and the two upstairs do. Would the Airport Express work for this? I.e. piggy back it onto the Netgear router and then plug the printer into it? Or can you recommend me something that will work? Also if anyone has any suggestions why the Macbook can't print it would be most appreciated.

Why are you not listening, it is possible the Airport Express has a ethernet port you plug into what ever you want, a mainline adaptor or a router, any thing and simply ignore the wifi and use it as a print server.
If you don't belive me then how about using google to find that netgear do them also, and they have a usb eithernet print server which you can use, however from my personal experiance with their other device its crap. The reason I bought and airport express was for the purpose your asking.
