recommend me an e-commerce shopping cart

Hi folks,

I am setting up small business to run along side my 9-5. I am looking for a shopping cart to set up on my web hosting. I currently have zen cart installed and am just getting used to configuring it. However, I want to know what the best cart is. I don't mind spending any money on it (no more than £250) and would like it to be easy to customise etc

I do know HTML and CSS etc I just have no experience of carts etc

What can you recommend?

Drupal with Ubercart is pretty powerful.

Im using ZenCart, its basic 'out of the box' so to speak, but with addons its very powerful indeed! Dont bother with Google Checkout, the module is pants. Can only do zone shipping, so any weights is pointless. And its no good if you live anywhere bar america.

subscribing to this thread as i'm looking for the same sort of thing to add on to my site. do you have to pay to have them or is there a free way i can use it, test it and see if i like it then when i decide to officially use it on my site then pay for it? or is there free alternatives any way that i don't have to ever pay for?

I can recommend Interspire's product. Give them a Google, but you do have to pay.

We've moved from Actinic to Cubecart. Haven't gone live yet but can't really fault it too much so far.
