Recommend me an MP3 player..

Not looked at MP3 players for years as I've always used my mobile to play tunes on, I've just got a Blackberry so need a portable player.

Req's:

Must have FM radio
Must be flash based (to be used while running/biking)
Must have expandable/large storage capacity (minimum 1gb)
Must be able to be used as mass storage in Windows etc

Must NOT be made by Apple :)

Any suggestions? Not fussy about price as long as it meets all req's.

Iriver, all the way! I have an old Iriver ihp-120. Its a bit big (apple ipod size) but you can get smaller ones that are flash based. They are also much better than Ipod (in my opinion). Go to www.iriver.com for their website
 
Id recommend an Iriver H10 myself, but he said flash so thats out the window apart from the U10, which is too expensive for what it is.
 
Just as an addition. I used my iriver hard drive player last year whilst training for the London to Brighton bike ride. And it never skipped once. It also faired well on the actual day, when it was 30 degrees celcius (It faired better than I did anyway)

You did that too? I did it but mp3'less, think I nearly died at least twice!

Just about scraped through at 4 hours 10 mins, aiming for 3 and a bit hours this year. :D

Do you reckon an hd player would be ok for running? (Not that I do much of it!!!)
 
I suppose it depends on your jogging style. But i imagine it would be fine. I managed it in about 5 hours, after killing myself up ditchling beacon (that hurt sooo much)
 
My jogging style is very slow and not too energetic so I might have a look at the HD ones as well. Can't hurt. :)

I've done the ride twice now, 2004 was my first time and I had about two weeks of 'training', there was a massive thunderstorm on the Beacon and we got soaked to the skin. Managed 5h 15m. Decided to get a bit more training in this year (a month and a half :p) and got down to 4h 15m, was really surprised because it hurt a lot more this year. I think it must've been due to the heat, even with a 6.30am start it was 30 degrees by the time we'd finished.
 
Wow, small world. I might have seen you. I started at 6.30am too. I was working for Shredded Wheat (the sponsors) at the time, so was in one of those lovely orange T-shirts. Anyway, I think the H10 might be a good idea for you.
 
A word of warning if you go for the H10. The 5GB version does not have a radio, so you will have to pay the extra fiver and get the 6GB one for that feature.
 
Depending on how much you want to spend, and how much storage you want, the 20GB H10 is in This Week Only for 178.54 inc VAT. Also has mic for voice recording.

I do vaguely remember some Orange shirts flaoting around, could've been my hallucinations though!! :p Are you doing it this year?
