Not been here for years!

Anyway, looking at getting a new camera to replace my aging Canon PowerShot A70 What would you 'experts' recommend for between £100-£250, ideally Canon?

The Canon S3 IS is a great camera, lots of manual features too

If you want a compact the Ixus range are very nice.

Finding it (S3 IS) big/ugly & the Ixus not 'manly' Is the S3 IS even withing my price range?

Know anything about the PowerShot A700?

Megapixels don't matter that much to me so, lets say not less than 4.0M
