Recommend me FTP software please.

CuteFTP 4.2.3... I've been using it for years and while it does actually work it will not let me activate with my key or recognise when the required key has been added to the registry in W7 so it's time for a new FTP program.

Anybody care to recommend anything to replace it with?

Yeah I love FileZilla. Occasionally use other FTP clients but never find them as intuitive to use as FZ.

Had a play with Filezilla last night, I wish my old software had broken years ago now... a most excellent piece of kit

Not free but FlashFXP is well worth a look, been using it for years, site-to-site transfer is very useful for moving websites!

Total Commander. I have hard time remembering when i used a standalone FTP application last time... Somewhere around 2000 i think. Plus considering the licence for Total Commander is a lifetime one...

portable filezilla

also I tend to just use windows explorer a lot now, just type in ftp.xyzetc.co.uk into explorer and it'll ask for login details

Another vote here for filezilla, an excellent free ftp tool that I have used for a number of years, should suit most peoples needs.

I actually dumped CuteFTP in favour of Filezilla after I tried it out.

Never looked back. Brilliant bit of kit.
