Hello all

My son who is nearly seven has outgrown his current headphones. What would you recommend I buy for sub £50.

He will be using them mostly with his tablet, bluetooth would be nice however wired is presumably cheaper and there is always the worry with bluetooth that he would forget to switch them off and then be dissapointed when they are flat when he comes to use them again.

Thanks

Darren

I got a set of Ausdom M04s headphones for my wife, and I really can't fault them. Battery seems to last for ages - without any special care.

You'll get far better quality with a wired pair for £50. Bluetooth introduces too many things that add extra cost for there to still be enough money left to make a decent sounding pair of headphones at a low budget. AKG Y45BT are possibly the cheapest decent Bluetooth headphones I've seen for £80.

Best choice in my opinion for £50 or under is Creative Aurvana Live, which can be bought from Creative's own site for £40. Excellent headphones for the money that once used to retail for £80.

I've got a pair of those aurvanas, can't fault them.

I've also got a pair of music fidelity mf100 which for £35 are absolutely brilliant, they are on another level to the Creatives (theyre not for bassheads though!) and are actually quite a tight fit on me, so would probably fit your lad well
