Recommend me - pickup putdown time passing games

Hi guys

Basically I'm looking for little games that run on the desktop in a windows, take up very little resources but are great fun. Games that start and shut down instantly, just for passing the time while I'm waiting for a particularly big file to save etc - freeware would be preferable.

I've pretty much exhausted Solitaire

Slay is ace but gets repetitive after a time.

What was that shockwave flash game similar in style to Elastomania, but was more realistic looking? It involved riding a bike over a bundle of obstacles in a stadium environment - that would be a good one.
