Recommend me some 5.1 speakers, Pweeze

Hi Peeps,

Im currently having my room refurbished and would like some new speakers. Ive always had two pairs of speakers one plugged into the sound and another to what is went to to be the sub socket in the machine...lol

I quite the look of these Logitech Z-680 THX® Certified 5.1 450 Watts

Any suggestions would be great...

I've got the z-680s hooked up to my pc and 360. They sound fantastic for games and dvds, music is good but not great. Two problems with the speakers are that they get muffled by the speaker grilles, and sound much better with them removed. Also they give quite a bit of background noise, especially noticeable when you aren't pumping sound through them. The fuse in the sub also blows if you switch the speakers off on the sub without putting them in standby first. Have a look at the Logitech Z-5500 speakers which are a newer revision and only £20 more.

Unless you really want speakers consider getting some quality headphones (I've got the Sennheiser HD595s), you get much higher sound quality for your money.
