I'm a little out of touch. Which 120mm fans are generally considered the quietest? Not sure whether they will be run off a controller yet.
 
Noctuas will be recomended. S12 for case, P12 for HSF/radiator.

I have some Akasa Apaches which are very quiet when slowed a little.

Many good quality 120mm fans at 7v will be virtually silent though.
 
Thanks. I doubt I'll use a controller. I have one now and never touch the thing once set. So I'll probably just 7v them as mentioned.
 
Check if the fans will start at 7v though... From my experience with the Apaches I've found they they wont start on a modified 7v molex, however they will start at a very low RPM when connected to a PWM socket.

I think its probably just the Apaches though, the seem a lot heavier than other fans I have.
