Recommend me some Games

Hi dudes

i havent played a game in like 12 months and havent kept upto date with the gaming community. The last game i played was "PainKiller" and i loved it.

Are there any other latest titles which are like painkiller (or max payne) that you can recommend?

Quake 4 is worth a look, beats Doom 3 and Fear in my opinion (which is just an opinion before anyone starts :) ) and I found a copy for £4.95, unfortunately can't say where.
 
Got to admit, I did like Quake IV. Actually, to be fair I liked Doom 3 originally too, but after the initial wow factor I got a bit bored.

F.E.A.R. had some genuinely scary moments, but again I got bored of it fairly quickly. I guess I'm more of a strategy man - I loved the Dawn of War series and Civilization 3 & 4. Quite like RPGs too. Neverwinter Nights 2 is currently holding my interest.

Whats the end of that game like? I played through it until a level which was so ridiculously dark that I couldnt be bothered to finish it, I think I had to follow a power cable or something along those lines to get a lift working.

Also do you ever actually get any decent weapons? :confused:
