im bored and havent bought a new game in ages

looking for something that will play ok on a 6800ultra ( i dont mind low settings etc )

rest of spec is a core2duo at 2.7 and 1.5 gb of ram so should be ok

no FPS , think ive played all the ones that id like too

Company of Heroes?
Grand theft auto san andreas?
Command & Conquer 3 ?
Civilization 4 + beyond the sword expansion ?
 
would dirt run ok on my card though ?

same with c and c 3

both are games im interested in just wasnt sure how theyd run

edit - oops just realised how silly ive been and started downloading the demos for them :( :rolleyes: :p
 
You will have to turn all settings to low on dirt to get playable frame rates on a 6800 ultra. Dirt just rapes gfx cards.

C&C 3 runs fine here maxed out with 4x aa too on 1280x1024 on my 6800GS...

Dirt you'll be looking at medium settings mostly and low resolution ( 1024) and with shadows on low and motion blur disabled, all that makes it run fine also on mine...

@ Gonzo: I disagree, you can have almost everything on medium and even have 2x aa...
But then again I find 30 fps acceptable, obviously he has a better card as mine though, so should be looking at 35-40 fps, wich should be more than enough...
