Recommend me some multiplayer games for the DS

I just got a DS lately and I'm loving it. Thinking of getting one for the wife so that we can play multiplayer games, but want to be sure it's worth it before I spend the thick end of £100. So... tell me what good multiplayer games there are.

Oh yeah, I've got Mario Kart already.

Only if you both own it. The download play multi sucks really badly

It's a real-time version of the game and is horrible imo.
