We've recently had a small extension built and are now looking to render the outside, total wall area is ~20m2 (There's lots of windows and a set of large bifold doors)
I've had a google and for what we are after it seems to be either monocouche or silicon based. Are there pro's and con's to either or are they much the same? Then there is grain size, SWMBO doesn't want it totally smooth but not too rough either!
Am I correct in thinking the monocouche is just applied straight onto the wall, but the silicon needs a base, primer then top coat?
So any recommendations of which type and what are good brands would be appreciated. I'm initially thinking silicon, for its low maintenance and anti-algae/fungi properties as it's a north facing extension.
