Recommend me some speakers.

Can anyone recommend me some speakers that are ideal for playing music LOUDLY!!

I need some at least as loud as around 1200w p.m.p.o.

1200 watts, are you joking ?

that will kill you with half still in reserve, no one needs 1200watt speakers

settle for some nice 5.1 550 logitechs lol

unless your doing some for of performance live work ?

If its just music he wont need 5.1.

I heard the Logitech Z-2300 will shake pictures off the wall.

Also you should never listen to pmpo figures, look at RMS, the above Logi's are 200 watts rms.

Thanks for all of your input so far. As for a budget = Anything upto around £160. I need to shake the pictures off the wall when we have parties.

with that sort of budget id go for sperates amp and bookshelf speakers should get some decent kit 2nd hand for around that money

Dude first things first when talking about volume DON't use PMPO, its meaningless and could only ever be reached by the speakers for a fraction of a second before they blow. compare RMS values and ul get the true volume comparison value.

Also for loudness in parties for £160 get the logitech Z5500's over the energy aegos. Pretty damn loud and you could spread all the speakers out. But they still won't match a PA setup for sheer volume.
