Hi

In a few months time i'll be needing new front tyres (rear tyres have only been replaced a few months ago and have loads of tread).
I would like some decent tyres that work well in the dry and wet.
At the moment i have GT Champiro tyres all round. They dont seem to be that bad.
The size of my tyres are 205/40/17 speed rating on current tyres is H.

What tyres shall i go for?
I want good handling and they must last me a long time. I dont want to go for expensive tyres that are made of a soft compound that lose tread too quickly.

I looked on mytyres and they recommend Pirelli P Zero Nero. Are they any good?

I want to spend about £60-70 per tyre.
I have been looking at mytyres and blackcircles but not sure what to go for.

Help me out!

Thanks:)

Round ones with tread are always a good starting point! :p

Seriously, I'm well impressed with my Bridgestone Potenzas, I'd happily buy them again.

1 more question!

At the moment i have silver metal valves and valve caps on all my tyres. To open valve caps you have to use either a small spanner or pair of pliers.
When i get new tyres is it possible to take out the valves out my previous tyres and use them in the new tyres? It would save me a bit of money buying brand new ones and i would have a matching valves all round.

on GT3 Super Soft are the best but there $40,000 but i would say some sort of bridgestone as they seem be all good

So you want tyres that are superb in the wet and dry, last a long time and are also only £60-70.

Let me know when you find them!

As for the Neros they dont last that long, don't grip that well in the dry(compared to a lot of high performance tyres) and when wet are even worse.

a lot of what you require depends on your driving style though and how much you push your car.

Yeah it does seem as if i want everything from a tyre but for it to be dirt cheap!
Basically my requirements are a tyre that:
Isnt crap in either wet or dry
Lasts long
Is quite cheap

I might end up buying the same tyres as i've already got, black circles have them up for £65.
Are there any decent budget tyre makes? I had a set of Falkens put on my 106 and they were not bad at all. They stuck to the road like glue and i ragged the crap out the 106.

I am quite a spirited driver but in the summer i will definitely push it to it's limits (fast cornering etc), havent managed to do that with my current tyres yet because the roads are covered in crap and dont want to risk it.
I'll give my mate a ring tomorrow, he managed to get 2 15" Eagle F1's for £40 (brand new).

Goodyear
Summer tyres EAGLE F1 GS-D3
205/40 R17 80W ** With mytyres.co.uk only £ 85.40

i've read on ZSOC that Eagle F1's dont last very long.
I'll see if i can get these cheap off my mates' mate.
If not, i'll have to save a bit more :p
